Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Academy

Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) is an intensive 5-day session that provides law enforcement with the knowledge and skills for responding to a person during a mental health crisis. The training is conducted by local CIT trained officers, mental health professionals, family advocates, and consumers; offering practical techniques for de-escalating crisis situations. |

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Participants are required to attend all 40 hours to receive a certificate of attendance, CIT lapel pin, and CIT challenge coin.
If an officer has to appear in court, please email Kimberly Farrier (kfarrier@mcadamhs.org), to make up the missed sections/lessons.
Dress code: Monday – Thursday business casual/department casual; Friday regular work uniform.
Cost: FREE
Sponsored by Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services, Pre-registration is required. Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments are provided each day.
